~ A tribute in casual vignettes ~
Special Sunnygate Collies and Shelties over the years

Loving friends remembered ~
You’re never far from thought
A look, a sense, a feeling ~
For all the joy you gave us
You’re ever in our hearts

“Brandy” (1974 - 1985) This girl took me to my first dog show ~ and her last!
~ Happy and full of mischief ~ Brandy made everyday a personal adventure ~
And, she had the most beautifully tipped natural ears!

Daystorm’s Backtalk ~ aged 12 years
(Ch Lappan’s Adventurer ex
Am/Can Ch CityView Black Diamond dau) (1974~ 1986) ~ 3 CH ~
“Babs” exemplified the gifts of loyalty and heart
that Collies and Shelties possess. Ever the loving guardian
she quietly watched over our children and kept them from harm.
My most treasured friend ~ I miss her still.

Babs” and daughter “Victoria Song” (1977)
Our “Vic” ~ the “Reserve Queen” thought dog shows
were somehow beneath her and soooo boring!
How she adored baby puppies
but sadly never gave us any of her own!

~ “Sunnygate's The Lone Ranger” (1981)~
CH Lochlomun Rerun ex Sandpiper’s Little Ripple
A special boy, “Randy” was a singleton who romped around
the whelping box with “Cricket” a tiny adopted Collie
cousin and an orphaned Basset Hound baby named “Lonesome George!”
Randy left us later on to become a companion and helper
to a small boy with special needs. They were a great team together!

“Shadow” at age 6 years
”Brown Dog” was an adoption of sorts that we welcomed
to the Sunnygate Clan. This sweet fellow was devoted
especially to Barbara my Mother ~ and happily spoiled by my husband Arthur.
He knew every short cut out for daily “walkies”
so that he would be first in line for a cookie!

“The Peanut Puppy”
Marpointe’s Pocket Change 22 May 2001 - 15 April 2003

With great sadness and many tears we laid to rest today ~
Our special “Little Boy” ~ our loving friend ~
Who stole our hearts and came to stay ~

So much love wrapped in a small silver coat ~
Defender of puppies ~ but a bully at ball!
So quick to protect ~ a smile for all
~ He loved ~

A wonderful sense of delight “In Life”
~ How he adored us ~ and
~ How we will miss him ~
